LIFEcogeneration.pl project among 15 finalists of the prestigious LIFE Awards 2020 organized by the European Commission

We are pleased to announce that the LIFEcogeneration.pl project was nominated as one of the 15 best LIFE projects in Europe in 2020. The LIFE Award recognises the most innovative, inspirational and effective LIFE projects in the fields of nature protection, environment and climate action. Winners in each of the three categories are selected by an expert jury appointed by the European Commission. The award ceremony will take place in autumn 2020.

LIFEcogeneration.pl is a project that Investeko SA carried out in 2013-2018. Its goal was to design, build and demonstrate the first complete thermal waste treatment plant based on proprietary LIFEtec technology. The prototype that was erected in Świętochłowice within the framework of LIFEcogeneration.pl project is the first plant in Poland agreed according to the new philosophy of thermal waste treatment as a "non-incineration plant" and excluded from a number of regulations regarding thermal treatment.
